About Us

About Us

This website is all about speed on the water — and, even more importantly, about having fun. With today’s GPS technology, we can record an entire day of sailing and analyze our speeds throughout the session. Our main focus is on tracking maximum speeds across different distances. Since launching in 2004, we’ve welcomed an ever-growing community of members from around the world. We’ve also expanded into new disciplines — kite, foil, and wingfoil — and every day, riders everywhere share their latest sessions. We keep the rules simple to ensure fair competition, and we’re proud to say that no one has ever knowingly submitted falsified speeds. To further guarantee fairness, timekeepers are in place during races. Around the globe, sailors are always on the hunt for the best venues. Sandy Point in Australia, Walvis Bay in Namibia, Southend in England, Les Saintes Maries de la Mer in France, and The Brace in the Netherlands are just a few of the renowned fast spots in use today. But beyond chasing record speeds on mirror-flat waters, this site is about something deeper — the friendly rivalry between sailors, and the personal challenge of pushing yourself to go faster.

GPS is an incredible tool for improving your sailing skills. You’ll quickly notice how small changes to your gear or sailing style can affect your speed. It’s also a great way to connect with fellow speed enthusiasts from around the world who share your passion. If you love going fast, you’re in the right place — join the fun! We continuously roll out new website features as soon as the core functionality is ready, followed by gradual bug fixes. Your feedback is vital — the sooner we hear from you, the better we can improve. Our philosophy is simple: ideas that look great on paper don’t always work perfectly in practice. By releasing features early, we can identify and address real-world issues faster, making the platform better for everyone.
